This pre-shave oil is non-greasy or non-oily and has a silky feel with low viscosity. The oil is easily absorbed into the skin preparing the skin for a comfortable and protected shave.
We researched the advances science has made in natural plant based esters and emollients. Most natural oils have a quite heavy, oily and tacky skin feel. By using olive oil derived Squalane and plant esters, we could get to the goal of a fast absorbing and non-greasy oil.
This is unscented so that is does not combat the scent of the shaving soap or cream.
The formulation contains short chain esters, oils with degreasing qualities that leave a silky feel on the hair and skin and great sensorial properties. It also leaves your face feeling conditioned and moisturized-not oily.
The oil blend has low viscosity which leads to smoother dispersion and excellent spreadability.
Key ingredients:
Olive Oil derived Squalane
Sustainably sourced Squalane. It mimics skin’s own lipids with the equivalent of human sebum and prevents loss of hydration. Due to its good skin absorption Squalane has deep moisture retention properties.
Avocado esters
Active ingredient from green chemistry. Plant esters from avocado oil sourced sustainably from Mexico, Peru and South Africa.
Desert Date Oil
Offers a unique dry touch and provides quick skin penetration sourced from the fruit of the Balanites Roxburgii tree native to Burkina Faso in West Africa. It leaves the skin soft and silky.
Perilla Ocymoides Seed Oil
Extracted from the seeds of Perilla Ocymoides is the dry oil and is not greasy to the touch. It has healing, restructuring, soothing, and moisturizing properties. Perilla Oil is widely used in Japan for body and face care.
Free of essential oils or fragrances. The oil has a characteristic light nutty scent from the natural oils. Does not contain menthol.

We wanted our pre-shave formulations to be less oily and more silky in its feel. We took advantage of what science has accomplished in the extraction of plant esters and natural oils from sustainable sources.
Our pre-shave products prepare and protect the skin with maximum hydration. Our pre-shave formulations are nutritive to and moisturizes the hair and skin. Once the product is massaged into the skin, the product gets absorbed in a few seconds and the skin feels supple and protected.
We use Olive Oil derived Squalane, plant esters, Desert Date Oil, Perilla Seed Oil in our pre-shave formulations.
Squalane is naturally present in the skin lipid barrier, preventing moisture loss while restoring skin’s suppleness and flexibility. Squalane provides a silky, smooth and luxurious touch, without a greasy, heavy after-feel.
Avocado esters provide the silky feel and has great sensorial properties.
Desert Date Oil has been used medicinally for hundreds of years and is rich in essential fatty acids including linoleic, oleic, palmitic and stearic acids; all of which are needed to support normal, healthy cell renewal and promote skin firmness. It provides a unique dry-touch and quick penetration into the skin.
Perilla Seed Oil is a dry oil and is not greasy to the touch. It has healing, restructuring, soothing, and moisturizing properties. Due to its restructuring activity, the oil can be used daily in complement with anti-aging cream to prevent aging signs.
Vitamin E is used as an antioxidant.
Size: 30 ml or 1 fl. oz. glass bottle with a pump
Directions for use: Use the pump on the top of the bottle and dispense 4 pumps of the oil onto the palm. Massage the product into the skin you intend to shave until the skin is soft and supple. Ensure full coverage of the skin.

This oil adds a layer of protection like any other preshave on the market. But it seems to do so without gunking up my lather and adding a wonderful layer of slickness. I normally only use preshave to assist in my post shave feel. I won’t be going without especially when using a straight razor.

this stuff is awesome! not like other pre shave oils that feel like im putting 40w on my face. this is light and nourishing, if your looking to boost the already phenomenal quality of the siero, pull the trigger! this definitely will improve any soap though.

on my second bottle and worth a second review. i will never be without this pre shave. it 100% protects your face the first 2 passes is where it really shines, you can make a 4 pass BBS shave (up down left and right) and it will feel if you only made 2 passes. i suggest using 2-4 pumps before you bowl lather on a dry face and let it soak in a few min prior to wetting the face again and adding your lather. hope this helps!

On my 3rd bottle now and I went a month without it and I can say this, you really don’t know what you have until it’s gone. I will never go without this again. As a daily straight razor shaver this stuff really protects your skin from irritation and improves the overall shave!
