Seasonal edition for Spring and Summer
An accord composed of citrus top notes with lime, bergamot, rose, lavender, rosemary, geranium, lilac, middle centered on labdanum on top of patchouli, oakmoss and cedarwood base. Opens with a rose scent and then mellows into a amber and woody scent.
Labdanum resin is blended with myrrh and benzoin for the amber character.
Does not contain coconut oil in the tallow version.

Made with high quality ingredients including donkey milk, castor oil, kokum butter, cocoa butter, and shea butter for added post shave benefits. Hops Extract is incorporated into the formulation as a soothing natural extract for relief of skin inflammation and skin redness.

I was given this soap and splash as a prize for the Ragged Lather Games so I thought I should do a quick write up on it. No numbers or binary review just my thoughts.
Loading: Super easy to get enough soap on your damp brush for three/four passes. Maybe 20-30 seconds of loading and it was done. Reminds me very much of Barrister and Mann Latha soaps. Looks very similar in the tub as well.
Performance: Great. Slick and thick lather that handles a ton of water very well. Not much more to ask for in a soap.
Post Shave: I usually prefer soaps that have lanolin as I can get pretty dried out. Not an issue with this stuff. It does have three different butters in it so it worked great for me.
Aftershave: Same as every other alcohol, water, fragrance and menthol splash. Fairly cold which was nice on a humid day and the menthol doesn’t mess with the scent at all.
Scent: It’s obviously rose forward but blended very well. Doesn’t smell anything like a florist shop. It’s a very nice warm rose scent. If you like rose this is something you need to try. If you are on the fence and not sure of you like the smell of roses in your shave stuff then I think this would be a great soap to try out

Got this one delivered the other day and was very pleased. I’ve been looking for a rose scent that wasn’t too overboard. Most rose scents seem like perfume, while this one seems more floral. I’m not sure if those terms are the same in the shaving world, but to put it another way: most rose scents smell manufactured, while this one smells like it was captured outside. Perhaps it’s the mix of other scents that allows the rose to shine yet not be too overwhelming. If you’ve been looking for a rose scent but not satisfied with other options, check this one out; I’m very happy with it.
