Man from Mayfair Shaving Soap

Our barbershop line is a tribute to Mayfair - the district in London in the City of Westminster. Affluent area in the West End of London towards the east edge of Hyde Park, in the City of Westminster, between Oxford Street, Regent Street, Piccadilly and Park Lane.

Man from Mayfair is for discerning gentleman who cares for finer things in life - custom shirts, custom suits, shoes, ties, watches, grooming products, perfumes i.e. everything a man needs to be sharp and dapper.

What is Donkey Milk?

Donkey milk was used in Ancient Egypt and Cleopatra bathed in donkey milk and her beauty was reported by many writers of that time.

A more scientific approach and skincare science now validates the use of donkey milk for skin care. Donkey milk contains a high amount of proteins, lactoglobulins, calcium, potassium, phosphorus and magnesium. It also contains significant levels of vitamin C, pantothenic acid (vitamin B5), and vitamin B9. It has skin nourishing properties, rich in proteins, minerals, Omega-3 and -6 fatty acids and vitamins. It also offers collagen stimulation and anti-wrinkle activity.

What are the benefits?

Skin nourishment, enhancement of skin moisturization, and protection against free radical production. Components contained in the milk are biocompatible with the human skin and easily absorbed. Lysine contained in the milk contribute to increasing skin vitality.

Vegan formulation:

We have incorporated non-GMO Soybean Glycerides and Shea Butter Unsaponifiables to the vegan formulation.

100% vegetable alternative to Lanolin. Soybean glycerides and an unsaponifiable fraction of shea butter are combined to meet the need for a long lasting film-forming, moisturizing agent. This is in addition to Jojoba Oil and raw Shea Butter. The outcome of this change is in the post shave experience where it leaves the skin with a soft and silky feel, differentiated hydration and long lasting moisturizing agent.

Donkey Milk is not part of the composition of the vegan formulation.

Scent notes:

Bergamot, Basil, Lavender, Sandalwood, Patchouli, Oakmoss and a blend of musk over a background of soft, powdery notes. Bergaptene free Bergamot is used in the scent blend.

Step 1: Wet your shaving brush thoroughly.
Step 2: Swirl the brush around in the jar of shaving soap or cream for 30 seconds, or until a thick, creamy paste forms on the brush
Step 3: To continue building the lather, add dribbles of water and swirl the brush on your face or in a lathering bowl. Apply the lather to the face.
